Why We Are In The Last Generation
This article looks at three reasons why this is the last generation before the return of Jesus Christ.
Israel Becoming A Nation
In Matthew 24:32 through 34, Jesus gave us a parable of Israel describing the last generation when all His prophecies would be fulfilled. In Matthew 24:32-34 Jesus says "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." In verse 32 the fig tree symbolizes the nation of Israel.
Hosea and Jeremiah speak about first ripe or figs which are in a fig tree. In Hosea 9:10a it says "I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the first ripe in the fig tree at her first time:..." and Jeremiah 24:5 "Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel; Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge them that are carried away captive of Judah, whom I have sent out of this place into the land of the Chaldeans for their good."
Israel became a nation in May 1948 and this was sign to the world of just how close we are to the return of Jesus Christ. Jesus said "When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh." (Matthew 24:32) The nation of Israel grew, and in June 1967, after the six day war, Israel made all of Jerusalem its capital and took over other parts of land. In verse 33, Jesus said "So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors." The things Jesus was talking about are in Matthew chapter 24:5-8. "For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." In Matthew 24:34, Jesus said "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."

Generation in God's Dealing With The Children Of Israel
In looking at the time of a generation, God moved in 40 years in dealing with the children of Israel. In Acts 7:23-34 it says "And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel. And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian: For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not. And the next day he showed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another? But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us? Wilt thou kill me, as thou diddest the Egyptian yesterday? Then fled Moses at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons. And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush. When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him, Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold. Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground. I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt." In these passages, we see Moses visiting his brethren the children of Israel at 40 years old and at 80 years old God speaking to Moses to deliver the children of Israel from Egypt.
And last we see Moses at 120 years old when the children of Israel were at the promised land. In Deuteronomy 34:4-7 "And the Lord said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord. And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Beth-peor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day. And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated." We see from the scriptures in the book of Acts and Deuteronomy that a generation in God's time with the children of Israel is 40 years.

Why We Are In The Last Generation
The Lord Jesus Christ spoke to me on October 16, 1997. He said "This is the last generation." As we said before a generation is 40 years. The Lord Jesus gave me the meaning and time frame relating to Israel and that time frame is from 1988 to 2028. At the time the Lord Jesus Christ gave me the word almost ten years had already past. Anytime you get a word from the Lord it must be confirmed in scripture. I have already explained that a generation in God is 40 years when relating to His chosen people. Also, we can see from the Return of Jesus Christ's relating to his death, the year 2028 is exactly two thousand years after the Lord Jesus Christ's death which gives us another confirmation of what the Lord told me in October 16, 1997. What does this mean? As Jesus said in Matthew 24:34 "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."
Notice the technology growth from 1988 to 1999 and how for the first time you can see the technology that will be used in the mark of the Beast. Some of the technologies that will be used are the internet, satellites, microchips, computers, etc. In Revelation 13:16-18 it says "16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man;and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."

Memory Verses
As Christians if we want to live in victory and if we want to be able to share the Word Of God with others we must know the Word of God ourselves. Let's see what the Bible says about this. "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." Psalm 119:11. " If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." John 15:7. "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed." John 8:31. We encourage you to put the following scriptures in your heart: Lamentations 3:25, Romans 1:17, James 2:19, Psalm 121:1-2, Hebrews 5:14, Genesis 1:26, II Corinthians 2:11, Psalm 103:3, I Peter 3:15, Proverbs 24:3.
