Satan Is A Counterfeit Of God

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works II Corinthians 11:13-15

This article is an excerpt from the book "Why Are So Many Christians Confused About Bible Prophecy?" This article looks at three reasons why Satan is a counterfeit of God.

In each of the sub-topics below, part (a) will show a characteristic of God and part ( b) will show what Satan's counterfeit is.

1. Age

  1. Jesus Was 30 When His Ministry Began - In Luke 3:23 it says "And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli," (refer to Chapter. 9 Topic 4 of the book "Why Are So Many Christians Confused About Bible Prophecy?" for another confirmation).
  2. Antichrist Is 30 When He Comes Into Power - The Lord Jesus Christ spoke to me through a word of wisdom that the Antichrist will be 30 years old.

2. 3-1/2 years

  1. Jesus' Earthly Ministry Was 3 -1/2 Years - In Daniel 9:27 it says "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate." For more detail see Chapter 9 of the book "Why Are So Many Christians Confused About Bible Prophecy?"
  2. Antichrist - The Antichrist will have a false peace for the first 3 - 1/2 years. In Daniel 8:23-26 it says "23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. 24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. 25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. 26 And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days." (refer to Chapter 5 Topic 12 for another confirmation of the first 3-1/2 years of time)

3. In The Flesh

  1. Jesus Was God In The Flesh - John 1:1 and 1:14 say "1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
  2. Antichrist - The Antichrist will be Satan in the flesh. - Revelation 13:2 says "And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority." The dragon is the Devil as explained in Revelation 12:9.

Memory Verses

As Christians if we want to live in victory and if we want to be able to share the Word Of God with others we must know the Word of God ourselves. Let's see what the Bible says about this. "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." Psalm 119:11. " If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." John 15:7. "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed." John 8:31. We encourage you to put the following scriptures in your heart: Galatians 5:22-23, Psalm 147:5, John 3:30, Amos 8:11, Proverbs 4:23, Philippians 1:29, Romans 8:1, Malachi 3:8-9, I Corinthians 12:8-10, Haggai 2:6-7. Use only the Old King James version of the Holy Bible. (If you have any questions about this please see the book New Age Bible Versions, by G.A. Riplinger ©1993, ISBN 0-9635845-0-2.)
