Why Are So Many Christians Confused About Bible Prophecy?Part III
"For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” I Corinthians 14:33In this issue of The Prophetic Messenger, we will finish a message from our book titled “Why Are So Many Christians Confused about Bible Prophecy?”
(the following quote is from our book titled “Why Are So Many Christians Confused About Bible Prophecy?”)
We Must Never Add Or Take Away From The Word Of God
The book of Revelation makes a very powerful statement concerning adding or taking away from the Word of God. It says in Revelation 22:18-19, "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." So for those people who say we don’t have to agree on prophecy, that only salvation matters, the Holy Bible is clear if anyone adds to this book, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. Or if any man takes away from this book, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. The apostle Paul said in Galatians 1:11-12, "But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ." What a bold and profound statement the apostle Paul made, that the messages he preaches come from the Lord Jesus Christ. How sad it is today, that so many messages preached from the pulpit today are from men and not God. In Titus 1:14 it says "Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth." Notice when messages preached are from men and not Jesus Christ, it turns the people from the truth of God’s Holy Word unto fables or heresies.
