2. We Must Forgive Our Brothers Or Sisters In Jesus Christ
In Matthew 18, Peter asked Jesus an important question about forgiving his brother. In Matthew 18:21-22 it says “21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” Notice Peter thought that seven times would be enough times to forgive his brother, but Jesus Christ said seventy times seven or 490 times.
The apostle Paul showed us a few examples about forgiving one another. In Ephesians 4:32 it says “32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Also in Colossians 3:13 it says “13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”
If there is no forgiveness then anger can turn to hatred. In Ephesians 4:31 it says “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:" The apostle John shows us what will happen to us if we don’t forgive or have unforgiveness. In I John 4:20 it says “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?” Also, in I John 3:15 it says “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.”
In the next issue we will continue to look at the topic of unforgiveness, and what Christians can do to help them forgive.

Memory Verses
As Christians if we want to live in victory and if we want to be able to share the Word Of God with others we must know the Word of God ourselves. Let's see what the Bible says about this. "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." Psalm 119:11. "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." John 15:7. "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed." John 8:31. We encourage you to put the following scriptures in your heart: John 5:25, Daniel 5:27, Acts 18:26, Amos 9:15, Acts 17:28, Psalm 32:1, Colossians 2:16, Ecclesiastes 12:14, I Corinthians 10:7, Ezekiel 3:17. Use only the Old King James version of the Holy Bible. (If you have any questions about this please see the book New Age Bible Versions, by G.A. Riplinger ©1993, ISBN 0-9635845-0-2.)
