Learn How To Become A Christian
To become a Christian is to make a lifetime commitment, but with it comes the everlasting reward of eternal life with Jesus Christ and God the Father.
The following is a very brief introduction to Christianity. After each statement is a scripture from the Old King James Version (Old KJV) of the Holy Bible. I encourage you to verify these statements with a copy of the Old KJV Holy Bible.
All are sinners
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." Romans 3:10
For the wages of sin is death.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD." Romans 6:23
What is sin?
A sin is when you know to do right, but choose to do wrong instead.
"Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." James 4:17
Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation.
Notice the second half of Romans 6:23:
"...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD. "
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures." I Corinthians 15:3-4
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."John 3:16
"But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."Romans 5:8
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10
"For whosoever shall call upon the LORD shall be saved." Romans 10:13
To become a Christian, pray the prayer of salvation out loud :
PRAYER OF SALVATION
Dear Lord Jesus
I come to you as a sinner.
I know I can't make it on my own.
Forgive me for my sins.
Come into my heart,
Come into my life,
According to your word,
In Romans 10:9-10,
You said,
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth
The Lord Jesus
And shalt believe in thine heart
That God hath raised Him from the dead
Thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness,
And with the mouth
Confession is made unto salvation.
Thank you Lord for saving me!
I am a new creature now.
I will pray
I will read my Bible
I will do the things according to your word
In Jesus name, Amen.
Congratulations!
